About the Role
DayLive is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Field Journalist to cover breaking news, local events, politics, business, crime, sports, entertainment, and public-interest stories. The ideal candidate should be passionate about journalism, capable of working under deadlines, and committed to delivering accurate and unbiased news.
Responsibilities
- Cover breaking news and live events from assigned locations.
- Conduct interviews with public officials, experts, and eyewitnesses.
- Research, verify, and report accurate news stories.
- Capture photos and videos from the field.
- Coordinate with editors to ensure timely publication.
- Submit written reports and multimedia content before deadlines.
- Maintain professional ethics and factual accuracy.
- Build reliable local sources and contacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of field reporting experience (Freshers with exceptional skills may also apply).
- Excellent communication and writing skills in Hindi and/or English.
- Strong understanding of current affairs.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours when required.
- Familiarity with smartphones, cameras, and digital reporting tools.
